During Question Period on Wednesday February 17th, Conservative Shadow Minister for Jobs and Industry, Pierre Poilievre suggests that in order to get Canadians back to work we will need to fire Justin Trudeau
Another Question Period and another stellar showdown between the two.
It was interesting to hear the Prime Minister admit that they favor the unemployed over small business owners when it comes to providing financial support during the shutdowns over Covid-19.
He stated they supplied CERB payments to 8 million Canadians, however failed to mention small business owners are provided loans. Small business owners need to generate income to pay rent, staff, suppliers and administrative fees or they face closing up for good. Once they close, there are no jobs for workers to return to.
One thing is clear, this does not look like shuttered business will be opening anytime soon.
